Deputy Antonio Attolini Murra presented his annual legislative report in an unusual format by turning it into a wrestling event at the Tony Arellano Coliseum Arena in Torreón. In front of nearly a thousand attendees, the legislator combined cultural and sporting activities with the presentation of the results of his work in the state Congress. The event, held on November 20, included three preliminary fights and a main event, as well as raffles and other community-oriented activities. Attolini explained that he sought to present his report as a close encounter with the citizens and not as a traditional event. During his speech in the ring, the deputy outlined the main axes of his legislative work. In a message posted on social networks, the Coahuila legislator stated: “For the good of all, the poorest come first, and in Torreón this means that for the good of all, the west comes first.” He added that his work has been focused on ensuring that “transformation reaches Torreón” through a legislative agenda with an emphasis on social justice, transparency, and community strengthening. In his text, Attolini framed his report as part of a symbolic “Revolution” for Torreón. He wrote: “The world belongs to the bold. In front of almost 1000 people and in an emotional night, the Revolution begins today: Roman must fall!” referring to the municipal president Román Alberto Cepeda, whom he described as “the worst municipal president in the history of Torreón.” The deputy added that he will file a political impeachment complaint against the mayor for alleged administrative irregularities.
