Mexico and Canada are preparing an action plan in the face of uncertainty. During a visit, Canadian Minister François-Philippe Champagne discussed security and cooperation between agencies of both countries with Mexican authorities. In response, Mexico demanded the arrest and extradition of politician Cabeza de Vaca from the United States. In the education sector, there has been a leadership change: Nadia López, an indigenous educator, has been appointed as head of Educational Materials. This follows accusations that the former department head, Marx Arriaga, was involved in extortion and mistreating staff. Arriaga refuses to leave his post, insisting that he was ordered to remove references to the Ayotzinapa case from textbooks. In the Mexican Senate, a beauty salon was closed, costing 136,000 pesos to set up.
