Enrique Correa Leaves PAN to Join Jucopo as Independent

Local deputy Enrique Correa announced his separation from the PAN bench with the aim of joining the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) as an independent. Despite this decision, Correa confirmed that he will continue to be part of the PAN ranks, supporting Jorge Romero for the national presidency of the party and presenting a "Blue Houses" program for District 07.

Correa explained that his separation is due to personal reasons and his strategy as a representative of his district, including his interest in participating in the Jucopo, as it is in this body where key legislative agreements are made. According to him, he wants to be present to ensure that decisions benefiting his district are made.

When asked about his position within the PAN bench, Correa mentioned that as an independent he would have more influence. Currently, the Jucopo has representatives from several political parties, including PAN, Morena, Green Party, PRI, and Movimiento Ciudadano.

In response to rumors that Ulises Gómez de la Rosa from Morena also planned to separate to become an independent deputy, Correa accused Gómez of establishing this strategy to benefit his party in the Jucopo. Correa even invited Gómez to support him to be the representative of the independent faction in the Jucopo, making it clear that his decision to separate is individual and not political.

Correa Sada's exit from the PAN bench implies that the Jucopo will have to reserve a space for an independent representative.
