Elements of the Navy-Armed Forces of Mexico carried out a strong operation in the community of Potrerillos de Landeros, located in the municipality of Elota. The objective of this action was to address reports of abuses that had been reported against civilians in the area. Despite the intensity of the operation, no arrests have been recorded, nor have there been confrontations during the intervention.
During the operation, the elements of the Navy-Armed Forces of Mexico inspected the area in search of evidence to support the reports of abuses perpetrated against the residents of Potrerillos de Landeros. Although a significant number of personnel was deployed, no incidents of confrontation with the civilians present in the community were reported.
Regarding this operation, a spokesperson for the Navy-Armed Forces of Mexico stated: "Our intervention in Potrerillos de Landeros was carried out with the aim of ensuring the safety of the residents of the area and thoroughly investigating the reports of abuses that we had received. Although no arrests were made, we will continue to monitor the situation to prevent any acts of violence or abuse in the future."
