The local deputy has announced his intention to initiate an internal process within his party to defend himself against the accusations made against him by the former party leader, Rufina Benítez. Following the vote in the Local Congress, the deputy described the sector of the party that attacks him for having different opinions as "Stalinist." In his words, "I have to come out and defend this popular representation, from this series of videos, this conference yesterday, the lynchings on WhatsApp. It's a systematic issue, similar to what the Stalinists did. If you're not with me, they make you disappear."
The deputy also expressed that he will seek to defend himself against the process initiated against him before the Commission of Honor and Justice of the party, using the procedures established in the Morena statutes. Regarding the recent elections in the party, he mentioned that he has known Gisela Sánchez, the new leader of Morena in Querétaro, since 2006, and hopes that she will carry out good management in the movement, away from solely supporting a group within the party. In his words, "Congratulations, let's work for the party in an institutional manner, because it seemed that the previous administration only worked for one group. The interests of the group cannot fit, and what we need is for everyone to come together and be called upon, all the comrades," the deputy concluded.
