The former footballer Oribe Peralta, Olympic champion in London 2012, made an important visit to the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM), where he highlighted the significance of being part of the Olympic Movement and its influence in society, especially on children and young people. During his meeting with the president of the COM, María José Alcalá Izguerra, Peralta shared his perspective on sports as a powerful tool to inspire new generations and contribute to the country's development.

"Being Olympic is something very big and has a great impact on society," expressed Peralta, who was a key part of the historic Mexican team that won the gold medal in football at the London 2012 Olympics. The former player, also a Pan American gold medalist in Guadalajara 2011, emphasized that the sports legacy is crucial for motivating young people to pursue their dreams and achieve great goals.

During his visit to the Mexican Olympic Sports Center (CDOM), Oribe Peralta praised the quality of the facilities where Mexican athletes prepare for international competitions, highlighting the importance of these spaces for the success of future generations of athletes in the country.
