Grupo Modelo, the company behind Corona beer, announced it will give away 500 free tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. President Daniel Cocenzo explained that the tickets will be awarded to winners of the 'Social World' contest, a federal initiative that will host 74 tournaments across the 32 states. To participate, individuals must be of legal age and win one of these tournaments. President Claudia Sheinbaum also announced she will give away her own ticket to the opening match, which will be awarded to a young woman aged 16-25 through a pull-up contest. The ticket distribution will be transparent and supported by the National Commission on Physical Culture and Sport.
