A preventive police officer from the municipality of Abasolo, identified as Mauricio 'N', has been detained as the presumed responsible for the murder of Estefany Judith Ramírez Guerrero, a young Red Cross paramedic. The detainee faces charges for disappearance committed by individuals, femicide, and abortion, with the latter crime confirmed upon discovering that the victim was pregnant. Estefany Judith, 21 years old, Red Cross paramedic from Abasolo, disappeared on February 5 after leaving her home in the Estación Joaquín community, informing her family that she was heading to the Municipal Transit offices in the main square of Abasolo. She was last seen near the Macrina Uribe primary school, located in the city center a short distance from the authorities she was headed to. The lifeless body of the young woman was found on Wednesday, February 12, a week after her disappearance. The Attorney General's Office of Guanajuato executed an arrest warrant against Mauricio 'N', who will be presented before a judge to determine his legal situation. After intense investigative work, Mauricio was detained as the presumed responsible for the crimes attributed to Estefany Judith. The mayor of Abasolo, Job Eduardo Gallardo Santellano, has assured that there will be no impunity in his municipality and that justice will be served.
