Mexican authorities have confirmed the arrest in Acapulco of Christian 'N', alias 'El Piter', following a series of attacks and arsons against public transport. He is accused of being an operator linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the Independent Cartel of Acapulco. His arrest came after fires were set against public transport units at various points in the port, an event that caused fear among the population and affected the mobility of thousands of users. According to security sources, the detainee is considered an operator with ties to both the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and the Independent Cartel of Acapulco (CIDA). He is allegedly involved in the burning of vehicles and an armed attack on the facilities of the Public Ministry in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood. Investigations point to 'El Piter' having instructed attacks on public transport with the aim of causing chaos and pressuring the authorities. The incidents left at least two people injured, forced the temporary suspension of routes, and led to the preventive closure of businesses. The arrest is part of the institutional response to recent violent incidents in Guerrero, in a context of tension following the death of 'El Mencho', the historic leader of the CJNG.
