The National Fair of San Marcos 2025 takes place from April 19 to May 11 in Aguascalientes, Mexico, promising a wide variety of cultural, artistic, and sports events with 8 million visitors expected.

Last Tuesday, the governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, presented the program for the 197th edition of the National Fair of San Marcos (FNSM) nationally from the Espacio R in Mexico City, considered the largest and most important in Latin America. This edition will take place from April 19 to May 11 and promises to be a unique celebration, full of magic, tradition, and fun for the whole family.

During the presentation of the program, the governor was accompanied by various personalities, including the president of the San Marcos Fair Board, José Ángel González Serna, who informed that there will be around 2,000 events, of which 80 percent will be free. He highlighted that bullfighting enthusiasts will enjoy the most important bullfighting series on the continent, with 11 bullfights and one novice bullfight.

The cultural program of the FNSM will include more than 200 events such as the traditional Ferial, the Lake Forum, the Carranza Corridor, theater plays, exhibitions, the National Meeting of Young Art, and the 57th anniversary of the Fine Arts Poetry Award. Additionally, there will be a sports program with free national tournaments for the public and the return of the Open Golf Tournament, along with charreada activities and other disciplines.

The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, congratulated the governor for promoting such a significant festival. Rodríguez Zamora thanked the contribution of the FNSM to the tourist influx of the country and encouraged everyone to visit the fair to see the products made in Aguascalientes. The governor, for her part, invited everyone to enjoy the National Fair of San Marcos 2025 and emphasized that the best organization, safety, and services will be offered so that visitors have an unforgettable experience.

At this year's National Fair of San Marcos, around 8 million visitors are expected and an economic impact of 10 billion pesos. Among the attractions of the 2025 edition, there will be free concerts by international artists at the Mazda Stars Forum, as well as shows at the Palenque and Isla San Marcos. This year, Japan will be the guest country and Sonora, the guest state, showcasing its cultural beauty at the event.

The governor concluded her intervention by highlighting the growth and importance of the fair over its 197 years of history, emphasizing the magnitude and diversity of this annual celebration that reflects the festive and vibrant spirit of the Mexican nation.
