
Two months ago, Alejandro 'N' attacked Aída with a machete on a street in Altamira, Tamaulipas. During that time, he continued his work as a transporter as if nothing had happened. On November 13, he was arrested in Durango by agents of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Tamaulipas. The 52-year-old man faces charges of attempted murder against Aída, who suffered injuries to her face and arm, which kept her hospitalized for over a month.
The arrest warrant was obtained after incriminating evidence was presented regarding the crime that occurred on September 19 in the Altamira Sector 3 neighborhood. According to reports, he attacked the victim with a sharp weapon. After his arrest, the agents transported Alejandro back to Tamaulipas to face his legal proceedings.
The Durango Attorney's Office mentioned that the arrest was carried out by members of the Investigation Police of Crimes in Gómez Palacio, as part of the coordination between state prosecutors' offices. Regarding the legal repercussions, qualified homicide in Tamaulipas carries a penalty of between 20 and 50 years in prison, while in attempted cases, at least six and a half years of imprisonment is foreseen.
In a video that circulated about the attack, Alejandro can be seen repeatedly assaulting Aída with the machete, causing severe injuries to her face, head, and left arm. Aída, upon learning of her aggressor's arrest, denied having a romantic relationship with him and expressed her wish that he receives the full penalty for the harm he caused her.
