
The Guanajuato Prosecutor's Office achieved the detention of seven alleged criminals during a ministerial operation. The detainees are being investigated for their possible involvement in recent crimes in the city of Celaya.
As a result of investigations into crimes in Celaya, the Criminal Investigation Agency located a property where illegal activities were suspected to have occurred. After obtaining a search warrant, Criminal Investigation Agents entered and detained Juan Alejandro, Mario Fernando, César Giovanny, Juan Carlos, Blanca Susana, Luisa Daniela, and a minor.
At the location, a vehicle reported as stolen, an altered motorcycle, signal jammers, narcotics, magazines, cartridges, improvised explosive devices, and firearms exclusively for the army, armed forces, and air force were found.
Forensic investigations and the work of the Public Prosecutor's Agent provided evidence of various crimes, such as possession of firearms, cartridges, magazines, ammunition, stockpiling of weapons, attack on communication routes, and aggravated robbery, for which the detainees were linked to criminal proceedings.
Authorities continue the investigations to determine whether the implicated individuals and the seized objects are related to other criminal events in the area. The prosecutor's office reported that more information about the investigations will soon be revealed.
