In the city of Chihuahua, two plants are responsible for treating 80% of the water, which is crucial given the sustained demand for water and energy in Mexico. This week, the First Chamber of the Court will analyze a case that could set an important precedent regarding inadequate criminal defenses, after serious deficiencies were detected in the representation of two people accused of homicide. According to Minister Jorge Mario Pardo Rebolledo, the defenders did not fulfill their duties effectively and technically, which could result in the revocation of the sentence and a reconsideration of the right to adequate defense.

On the other hand, Kapital Bank, under the direction of René Saúl, has implemented an artificial intelligence-based system to analyze invoices, payments, and business relationships, thus facilitating the connection between small and medium-sized enterprises. With excellent financial results in 2024, the bank seeks to continue increasing its transactions and invoice analyses to optimize business decision-making. The use of artificial intelligence in banking represents a competitive advantage that will continue to develop.

Additionally, the return of the "Made in Mexico" brand has been announced, under the supervision of Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, with the aim of highlighting national technological and industrial products. This initiative, supported by the Business Coordinating Council, seeks to protect the national industry and ensure the quality of Mexican products in a context of changes in global trade rules. This program is expected to promote the registration of brands and patents, positioning Mexico as a prominent country in global manufacturing.

Regarding renewable energy generation and access to water, Mitsui Infrastructure Solutions, led by Fernando Tovar, has implemented significant projects in various regions of Mexico. Notably, the Mitre Calera Solar Park, located in Zacatecas, has an installed capacity of 80.3 MW and annual generation sufficient to supply thousands of homes. The company also operates treatment plants that process a high percentage of wastewater in different areas of the country, contributing significantly to the efficient management of water resources.
