Andrea Chávez Aspires for 2027 Election Victory

In 2027, Andrea Chávez, a senator from Morena, may be on track to achieve a new record if she manages to fulfill her next objective. Chávez achieved a milestone by becoming the most voted senator in the history of Chihuahua, surpassing her PAN-PRI rival by 265,000 votes and receiving more votes than Governor Maru Campos herself in 2021.

This achievement has not been simply due to her charisma or popularity but has been the result of a calculated social media strategy. During her campaign for senator, Chávez invested 2.5 million pesos in this medium, and in the last 90 days, she has spent 311,800 pesos to consolidate her position for the future.

In political circles, it is taken for granted that Governor Maru Campos and the PAN are in decline, and a contest in the Estado Grande is just beginning.

In a separate incident, Javier May, Governor of Tabasco, found himself in an uncomfortable moment during the announcement of new appointments in the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection. In the middle of the conference, a representative of the federal SSPC corrected him live, making it clear that the appointments in Tabasco were made by Omar García Harfuch, national Secretary of Security.

This incident raised doubts about May's true control in the state; was it a communication error or an attempt to discredit his administration? Social media, after the episode, has not stopped reminding everyone of the embarrassing moment, leaving May in a compromised position.
