On the morning of this Wednesday, November 12th, the shooting death of Luis Alberto Rueda Maldonado, reportedly the head of Public Roads for the Governance Directorate of the Chilpancingo City Council, Guerrero, was reported. According to information disseminated in various state media outlets, the incident reportedly occurred in the early minutes of 7:00 AM in the El Tomatal neighborhood. It is also highlighted that the official, who was traveling in a Volkswagen vehicle, initially survived the attack; he was transported for medical attention but died at the hospital as a result of his injuries. In the official statement released by the Municipal Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, it was reported that police officers went to the vicinity of the El Tomatal neighborhood to respond to a report of a male injured by firearm shots. At the scene, a Volkswagen vehicle with firearm impacts and spent shell casings was located.
