A deadly home explosion in Chimalhuacán, Mexico, has resulted in three fatalities and multiple injuries. The explosion was linked to illegal fireworks manufacturing, and survivors are receiving medical care.


Tragedy Strikes in Chimalhuacán: Three Dead from Explosion

In Chimalhuacán, State of Mexico, an explosion in a home caused by the clandestine production of fireworks has claimed the lives of three people and left eight injured who are receiving medical attention. The most recent victim is Patricia Marrón Cuetero, 52, who suffered severe burns on 90% of her body and died from these injuries.

Patricia, mother of Bryan and Jonathan, who also lost their lives in the explosion, had second and third-degree burns as a result of the tragedy that occurred in the San Pablo neighborhood. The municipal authorities of Chimalhuacán have reported that they are closely monitoring the recovery of the survivors, who are being treated in hospitals both in the municipality and in Mexico City.

The house where the explosion occurred, located on Sor Juana Street, suffered severe damage, with collapsed walls and floors. The community quickly mobilized to assist the affected family. Bryan was rescued alive but unfortunately died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Jonathan, on the other hand, entered the home to rescue his relatives, and after a time of searching, his body was found.

Among the hospitalized at the General Hospital of Chimalhuacán are several survivors with varying degrees of injuries. At the Tacubaya Pediatric Hospital of IMSS Bienestar, the injured children are being treated, including an infant just 9 months old with burns on the face, chest, and abdomen. The condition of some of the patients is delicate, while others are in serious condition.
