
The Government of the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office announced the call for the social program Tarjeta Violeta, aimed at adult women who take care of girls, boys, people with disabilities, or elderly adults and who do not have economic autonomy. This program, implemented by the administration of Mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, aims to recognize and support the unpaid work of caregivers, offering financial assistance and access to free health services.
The annual financial support of the Tarjeta Violeta will be up to 15 thousand pesos, delivered in three installments of 5 thousand pesos each, benefiting a thousand women residents of the Cuauhtémoc district. Additionally, beneficiaries will be able to access the Violeta Health Events, where they will receive free medical attention.
To access the program, applicants must meet the following requirements: be an adult and reside in one of the 33 neighborhoods of the area, perform caregiving duties for individuals under 17 years and 11 months old, people with disabilities, or elderly adults living in the same household, not have economic autonomy nor receive another social program of the same nature, and accept to undergo a socioeconomic study and a home visit.
The registration of applications will be carried out in person from February 24 to 28, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 02:30 PM, at the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office esplanade, located at Aldama and Mina, Buenavista neighborhood.
