Eight trucks were stolen from a vehicle agency near the Expressway in Cuernavaca. The criminals took six Hilux trucks and two Tacomas. Despite the authorities' efforts, the vehicles have not been recovered and the perpetrators of the theft remain at large.
This incident adds to another similar robbery that occurred on December 17, 2024, when eight vehicles were taken from a company in the San Cristóbal neighborhood. So far, neither municipal nor state authorities have issued any statements regarding this. The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) led by Miguel Ángel Urrutia Lozano has also not provided any information.
Initial reports suggest that the criminals may have detailed information about the agency's operations, which facilitates their entry and the theft of the vehicles. Last year, some of the stolen vehicles were moved to Guerrero, where at least two units were recovered. There is suspicion that the vehicles taken in this recent robbery could follow a similar pattern.
The theft occurred around 5:00 AM on Sunday, but was not reported until more than an hour later.
