Elements of the Secretary of National Defense, the National Guard, the Secretary of the Navy, the Attorney General of the Republic, the Attorney General of the State, and the Secretary of Public Security of Sinaloa carried out a joint operation that resulted in the discovery and seizure of twenty clandestine laboratories on February 18 and 19, according to the Interinstitutional Group in a statement.

During various security patrols in different areas of the state of Sinaloa, these illegal settlements equipped for the alleged production of synthetic drugs were located. Among the items found were containers, reactors, gas tanks, cans, condensers, and various chemical substances, the statement detailed.

The operations took place in communities such as Canamaca, Arroyo de la Higuera, El Bichi de Arriba, Los Cedritos, Rancho Carrizalejo, La Mora, Las Lajitas, El Cajoncito, and La Carbonera, as well as in localities like La Cañada, Las Lomas, La Bacata, La Reforma, and Imala, belonging to the municipalities of Culiacán and Cosalá.

The Interinstitutional Group reported that all material found was seized and made available to the relevant authorities or, if necessary, destroyed.
