
The Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection, Omar García Harfuch, is in Sinaloa, a state engulfed in a wave of violence with more than 800 deaths. In a joint operation, the Army and the National Guard dismantled 3 clandestine laboratories and 9 drug concentration areas in the municipalities of Culiacán and Cosalá. They also neutralized 3 clandestine synthetic drug laboratories in Cosalá, thanks to naval intelligence information.
During a supervision accompanied by the Secretary of National Defense, Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, the security efforts and action lines implemented in Sinaloa were reviewed. Last Thursday, military personnel were attacked, resulting in the death of four alleged criminals, the seizure of firearms, and a stolen vehicle.
Additionally, the detention of five alleged members of a criminal cell of the Sinaloa Cartel was reported in Culiacán, Mazatlán, and Rosario. The operation involved elements from the National Defense, Navy, Attorney General's Office, National Guard, and the Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection, resulting in the arrest of three women and two men, and the seizure of 10 vehicles and firearms.
