The Attorney General's Office reported on the continuation of investigations regarding the homicide of Doctor Héctor Nemesio Cuén Ojeda. Among the ongoing procedures, the request for information from U.S. authorities stands out, which has been ongoing for more than ten weeks concerning documentation related to the arrival of a Beechcraft 200 aircraft with cloned registration at a U.S. border airport. Three people were aboard this aircraft, including Ismael 'Z' and Joaquín 'G', whose migration, customs, and aviation documentation have not been provided by U.S. authorities.
In this regard, the U.S. diplomatic representation offered a press conference where the procedural requirements requested by the Attorney General's Office were not addressed in detail. Despite the request made since last August, there has been no response from the U.S. Government.
The Attorney General's Office detailed that, in particular, information was requested regarding the aircraft that transported the mentioned individuals from Culiacán to New Mexico. Although it is known that the United States has data on the aircraft and its pilot, this information has not been shared to date.
Regarding advancements in the investigation, it was mentioned that there is sufficient evidence to proceed judicially in the case of Ismael 'Z' for the crimes of Aggravated Kidnapping due to Violence and Treason to the Homeland, to the detriment of national sovereignty, as established in the General Law to Prevent and Sanction Crimes Related to Kidnapping and the Federal Penal Code, respectively.
