March and Vigil for Victims of Violence in Culiacan

A family in Culiacán, Sinaloa, was the victim of a tragic armed attack last Sunday, resulting in the death of a father and two of his children. Antonio de Jesús, 40 years old, Alexander, 9 years old, and Gael, 12 years old, were killed in an alleged attempted car theft in the Los Ángeles area of the locality.

The only survivor of the attack, Luis Adolfo, 17 years old, is in critical condition after being injured. The school community of the primary school 'Sócrates' in Culiacán expressed its outrage at this tragedy and called for a march demanding justice and peace in the state of Sinaloa.

Following the attack, classes at the 'Sócrates' primary school were suspended to accompany the family during the funeral services. In solidarity with those affected, a tribute to the deceased children was organized, to which attendees are invited to come with a white balloon as a sign of support.

Additionally, a protest march is planned that will start from Aguilar Barraza street and will travel along Álvaro Obregón avenue as a show of rejection to the violence in the region. The school community and various entities expressed their discontent and demanded effective measures from the authorities to put an end to the insecurity that has plunged Sinaloa into a climate of fear and uncertainty.

The governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, described the situation as "very regrettable" and committed to providing support to the affected family. The director of the primary school expressed his indignation and assured that he is accompanying the mother of the deceased children, guaranteeing government support during this difficult time.
