The governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha, reiterated the importance of respecting acquired rights during a card distribution event. He emphasized his commitment to educational welfare in the state, highlighting that scholarships are fundamental to prevent school dropout and ensure a promising future for students.
In Sinaloa, over 800,000 people benefit from welfare programs. By the year 2025, it is expected that 14,000 new beneficiaries will join the support program for people with disabilities, bringing the total to nearly 61,000 people. During the event, the governor fulfilled several previously made commitments, including the inauguration of educational facilities and the construction of new secondary schools.
Rubén Rocha stressed the importance of improving educational infrastructures to ensure a conducive learning environment for children and young people in Sinaloa. The Rita Cetina scholarship is one of the key initiatives to boost education in the region, directly reaching over a thousand young individuals from 936 families in the state.
"The Rita Cetina Scholarship, one of the three social programs created by Claudia Sheinbaum for this term, is an acquired right that no future government can remove," emphasized the governor. With a financial support of 1,900 pesos bimonthly per family, this scholarship aims to primarily prevent school dropout due to economic limitations, providing educational opportunities to those who need it most.
