Aregional, a specialized consulting firm, revealed that Sinaloa ranked second nationally in the evaluation of the Transparency Index of Health Spending of Federal Entities (ITGSEF) 2025. The state obtained 84.08 points, climbing one position compared to the previous year.
The detailed analysis conducted by the international consulting firm showed that Sinaloa is one of the most transparent states in the execution of spending in the Health Sector, demonstrating clarity in the breakdown of the expenses incurred. The coordinated efforts between the Secretariat of Transparency and Accountability, the Secretariat of Health of Sinaloa, the Health Services of Sinaloa, and the Civil Hospital of Culiacán were key to achieving these results.
The evaluation methodology of the ITGSEF consists of four stages: development of the methodology, verification of the ease of access to information, analysis of data obtained, and preparation of the report, and dissemination of results. This index is based on six evaluation blocks that encompass aspects such as the regulatory framework and statistics of the sector.
The ITGSEF comprehensively evaluates the transparency of information regarding the execution of health spending in each federal entity, considering different aspects of governance management and performance. Sinaloa stands out for its transparency and scoring in this index, reflecting a significant advance in the management of health spending at the state level.
