The specialized consulting firm Aregional revealed that the state of Sinaloa, governed by Doctor Rubén Rocha Moya, ranked second nationally in the evaluation of the Health Spending Transparency Index of Federal Entities (ITGSEF) 2025. This result is understood in the context of the evaluation of the 2024 exercise and part of the current year. Sinaloa obtained 84.08 points, climbing one place compared to the previous year and adding 4.98 points to its previous rating of 79.10 points.
Transparency in the execution of spending in the Health Sector was one of the best-evaluated aspects, demonstrating that Sinaloa is one of the most transparent states in this area. The consulting firm Aregional provided a detailed breakdown of the expenditures made in the Health Sector of Sinaloa, evidencing clear and understandable management for the general population.
The achievements are due to the joint and coordinated efforts between the Secretariat of Transparency and Accountability and the Health Sector of Sinaloa, which includes the Secretariat of Health of Sinaloa, Health Services of Sinaloa, and the Civil Hospital of Culiacán. This teamwork has positioned Sinaloa as an example of transparency in public health spending at the national level.
To carry out the ITGSEF measurement, an organized planning is conducted in four stages, ranging from the development of the methodology to the dissemination of the results. The evaluation is based on the compliance with 6 blocks, such as the Regulatory Framework and Statistics, which allow for a comprehensive view of transparency in health spending management in each federal entity.
The Health Spending Transparency Index considers various aspects of governmental management to evaluate transparency in the execution of health spending in each state. This recognition reinforces Sinaloa's commitment to maintaining high standards of transparency and accountability in the use of resources allocated to the Health Sector.
