In 2017, Jesús María Tarriba returned as a financial risk modeling specialist for the Bank of Mexico. Claudia, his wife, fondly remembers the gift of a guitar from Jesús that same year, lamenting that they now lack time to play together. They both enjoyed singing songs by Juan Gabriel and 'Mexicana'.

Jesús, originally from Sinaloa, moved to Mexico City at the age of 15 to study, first in high school and then in university, standing out for his PhD in Physics and his skills in financial mathematics that opened doors for him in the banking sector as a financial risk analyst.

Claudia describes Jesús as calm, understanding, and supportive, while he sees her as intense, interesting, and empathetic. Their love story began at the Faculty of Sciences at UNAM, where they met during student assemblies. After an initial dating period, they separated for years while living separate lives abroad.

The reunion finally came in 2016 when Sheinbaum, then mayor of Tlalpan, found Jesús among friendship suggestions on Facebook. Since then, they resumed their relationship and married in November 2023. They celebrate their love by sharing hobbies such as eating callos de hacha, walking in the Tlalpan forest, and their fondness for boleros.

In a video posted on YouTube, the couple recalled their relationship, revealing funny anecdotes and details about their love story. Jesús humorously denies Claudia's favorite food in a quiz, and they both remember the beginnings of their romance during their university days. Jesús feels grateful to have reunited with Claudia after 20 years abroad and values the intensity and empathy she brings to the relationship.
