Yesterday afternoon, a confrontation and pursuit occurred between alleged criminals in the streets of Culiacán, Sinaloa. According to reports from the state police, the altercation began in the eastern sector of the city and spread to the south. As a result of these events, two individuals with tactical gear died and two civilians were injured, being transferred to medical centers for treatment, according to the official statement.

During the operation, three vehicles were secured, one of which was armored, as well as two long guns and one handgun, the report from the authorities details. At this time, an intense operation is underway in the area of the events, which has already been secured. The affected neighborhoods due to the situation are: Cañadas, Infonavit Barrancos, Antonio Nakayama, Plutarco Elías Calles, Adolfo Ruíz Cortines, and Felipe Ángeles.

Additionally, citizens have been requested to assist the operation by allowing the circulation of security and emergency units. High school students were involved in the incident, having to evacuate their educational institutions due to the closeness of the gunfire. A young woman managed to capture the events on video, reflecting moments of tension and fear as students fled the area.

Authorities continue the search for those responsible, maintaining constant monitoring of the situation to ensure the safety of Culiacán's inhabitants and clarify what occurred in this incident.
