
On the night of Monday, March 17, in the Ciudad Azteca 2nd Section neighborhood of Ecatepec, two men were brutally murdered. One of them died in the front seat of a vehicle, while the other tried to flee but was caught and shot a few meters away.
After the attack, the assailants set fire to the car where one of the victims' bodies was located. Minutes later, neighbors alerted the authorities upon noticing the flames. It was then that they discovered the lifeless body of the second victim, semi-naked and with multiple close-range bullet wounds.
Municipal and state security officials arrived at the scene to secure it and requested the intervention of the Mexico State Prosecutor's Office. This institution initiated investigations to clarify the motive behind this double homicide and the vehicle fire.
The events took place at the intersection of Avenida Central Carlos Hank González and Fuego Nuevo street, where neighbors reported hearing gunshots. According to witnesses, two armed individuals surprised the victims inside a parked vehicle and opened fire on them.
So far, no official information has been provided about the identities of the victims or the possible perpetrators of this gruesome event.
