Significant Drug Seizures in Ensenada

In Ensenada, Baja California, a man was arrested for transporting 427 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in cans that appeared to contain mangoes in syrup. According to the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the drug was discovered during transport from Culiacán, Sinaloa. A total of 38 bundles were found containing a white powder resembling cocaine hydrochloride, weighing approximately 1.8 tons.

The Secretary of the Navy (Semar) carried out two maritime operations on the coasts of Guerrero, where around 4.2 tons of suspected cocaine were secured. These actions are the result of maritime, aerial, and land surveillance operations carried out by the Mexican Navy in coordination with other institutions to combat organized crime and ensure security in Mexican marine areas.

In the seizures carried out off Guerrero, members of the Secretary of National Defense, the Attorney General's Office, the National Guard, and the SSPC participated. During an aerial patrol, a Panther helicopter from the Navy identified a GoFast type vessel with five crew members on board, who were detained for further investigation.

In a second operation, the Navy secured 64 bundles floating in the sea with packages similar to those previously found, weighing approximately 2.4 tons. These actions are part of the strategy implemented to combat drug trafficking in the country and ensure the rule of law in Mexican marine areas.
