The Prosecutor's Office urged possible victims to file complaints to strengthen the investigations. After integrating the corresponding file, the Public Ministry obtained a judicial order that led to the intervention of the location. During the operation, agents from the Vice-Prosecutor's Office for Specialized Investigation of Property Crimes located five people at the site, who were placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. 'Without having to fire a single shot… they located five people, who were left at the disposal of a Public Ministry agent,' reported the state prosecutor, Salvador González de los Santos. According to the authorities, the group operated through calls in which they impersonated financial institutions to obtain deposits and transfers from victims. 'It is presumed that these people posed as bank employees… to deceive their victims,' the official detailed. In the premises, cell phones, headphones, phone chips, modems, personal documents, and notebooks with names and phone numbers were secured, as well as soundproof cubicles used to make the calls. Authorities are also investigating a possible bribery crime, after the detainees allegedly offered money and vehicles to agents to avoid their arrest. The State Prosecutor's Office of Jalisco dismantled an illegal call center in Guadalajara that allegedly carried out telephone fraud by posing as bank executives, with a balance of five people detained after a search authorized by a judge. The operation was carried out in a building located on José María Verea Street, in the San Andrés neighborhood, following a citizen's complaint that allowed the investigations to begin.
