The Government of Jalisco announced that during the first quarter of 2026, the entity conducted 230,502 tests under the Jalisco Verification Program, representing a 36% increase compared to the same period in 2025. State authorities reported that the increase in verifications reflects greater progress in the program's implementation, as well as greater citizen participation. It should be noted that the approval of these tests depends on the mechanical condition of the vehicles, regardless of their age. In this regard, cases of vehicles with more than 30, 40, and even 50 years that have met the established parameters have been recorded.
Verification in public transport and heavy vehicles The Secretariat of Transport (Setran) maintains the application of vehicle verification in public transport units, with the aim of ensuring that their emissions remain within permissible limits. In the case of heavy vehicles, the measurement is carried out in accordance with NOM-045-SEMARNAT-2017, which establishes the maximum emission limits for diesel engines.
Infrastructure and service conditions The state has 23 verification centers distributed in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (AMG) and in mandatory areas of the interior. Interested parties can schedule their appointment at verificacionresponsable.jalisco.gob.mx. During 2026, verification remains free for those who comply with the payment of the reaffirmation.
