Fire at PVC Factory Triggers Alerts in Guadalajara

A strong fire has consumed a PVC parts factory in the San Carlos neighborhood of Guadalajara. Although no injuries have been reported so far, the high columns of smoke have alarmed local residents, who immediately alerted emergency services.

The factory, located at the intersections of Gabino Barrera and Tuberosa streets, is severely affected, and the fire continues to spread. In response to this situation, Civil Protection has begun the evacuation of residents from the danger zone. Both Civil Protection personnel and Guadalajara firefighters are working hard to control the fire from land and air, with the presence of ambulances, water trucks, and a helicopter from the Guadalajara Commissioner providing support in rescue efforts.

Although the causes of the incident are still unknown, there are fears that the situation may worsen due to the proximity of another oil recycling facility. Evacuated neighbors have expressed their concerns about potential damage to their properties and businesses due to the fire. Some of them claim to have previously warned about the risks associated with the factory, requesting the intervention of authorities due to the strong odors and potential dangers, lamenting the lack of timely action.

The aerial response team aboard the Zeus is providing support in assessing the affected area, while Civil Protection and Guadalajara firefighters continue their efforts to contain the fire at the factory. The Guadalajara Police has been present in the rescue efforts, hoping to prevent the situation from worsening.
