Call for Applications: Women in Resilience

The Institute of Planning and Management of Development of the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (Imeplan) has launched the "Women in Resilience" call for proposals in its second edition, inviting municipal and metropolitan governments globally to participate. The aim of this call is to highlight initiatives that address gender disparities in building community resilience, focusing on urban challenges such as equality, inclusion, shared responsibility, equitable territory, sustainable mobility, water resilience, and the quality of public services.

The call is backed by the Resilient Cities Network, Metropolis, and the Ibero-American Center for Strategic Urban Development (CIDEU). The winning initiative will receive international dissemination, training for two representatives, a compendium of best practices, and a technical mission in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.

In the first edition, the winning initiative was "Mulher Salvador" from Brazil, which promotes women's workforce inclusion in the energy sector. Such projects not only contribute to community resilience but also foster equal opportunities. The current call closes on April 4 of this year, and applications must be completed online through the corresponding form. For any questions, you can contact the provided email until March 20.

The "Women in Resilience" call is an important step toward more inclusive and resilient cities, where Imeplan, together with international networks, reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and strengthening local capacities to tackle urban challenges equitably and sustainably.
