
The Government of the State of Jalisco, in collaboration with the Government of Guadalajara and the State Entertainment Agency (AEEJ), has announced the "Festival of Mothers" in honor of Mother's Day. As part of this festival, participation from entertainment figures will be included, as well as free gifts and beauty services for the attending mothers.
The "Festival of Mothers" will take place in the Historic Center of Guadalajara on Sunday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Beauty stations will be set up on Paseo Fray Antonio Alcalde offering free makeup and hairstyling, in addition to gifts and surprises for all attendees.
Lorena Martínez Ramírez, director of the State Entertainment Agency of Jalisco, shared: "With this festival, we aim to celebrate Jalisco's mothers as they deserve. We will have a beautiful program, with artistic performances and many surprises, so they can come to the Historic Center and enjoy a morning with family and celebrate their mothers."
The celebration will include conferences and live music. The main stage is expected to feature speaker Cuauhtli Alfonso Arau, comedian Rafa Ramírez, musical performances from Los Hermanos Barba, Mariachi Olimpos from the Guadalajara Department, and Alejandra Orozco with her Mariachi, as well as a presentation by the Pizintli Folkloric Ballet organized by the Guadalajara Department of Culture.
Verónica Delgadillo, mayor of Guadalajara, stressed the importance of recognizing the effort and dedication of mothers, as well as the collaboration in organizing this special celebration. All mothers from Guadalajara and Jalisco are invited to enjoy the planned activities to celebrate them.
Regarding safety, the Guadalajara Municipal Security Commission reported that a special operation will be implemented with 703 elements from various agencies to ensure the safety of citizens during the festivities on May 10 in different areas of the city. This operation will also include surveillance at cemeteries, especially those expected to have high attendance for Mother's Day.
