Special Operation to Protect Seven Temples Visitors in Guadalajara

To safeguard the integrity of attendees during the traditional Seven Temples visit, the Guadalajara Municipal Coordination for Comprehensive Risk Management, Civil Protection, and Firefighters will implement a special operation on Thursday, April 2nd, and Friday, April 3rd, in the city's Historic Center. The municipal coordinator, Jeeny de la Torre Ruelas, informed that during this holiday period, a force of 70 personnel and 10 operational vehicles will be deployed to carry out prevention, surveillance, and emergency response duties. The official highlighted the importance of the public following safety recommendations during religious activities: 'If you are visiting the Seven Temples or participating in the Way of the Cross, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and footwear, staying well-hydrated, and applying sunscreen.' 'If attending with girls, boys, or elderly people, it is important that they wear an identification badge with their name, address, and contact phone number.' Likewise, it is essential to follow the instructions of the authorities at all times. Guadalajara Civil Protection and Firefighters urge citizens to immediately call 911 in case of any risk situation or emergency. This preventive operation will be deployed not only in the Historic Center but also in other high-traffic areas during the holiday period, such as Bosque Los Colomos, Huentitán Canyon, and various shopping malls, in order to provide timely assistance and reinforce prevention actions.
