Guadalajara Zoo Offers Family Activities and Cobra Exhibition

This vacation season, the Guadalajara Zoo has prepared various activities to enjoy with family or friends, consolidating itself as one of the best recreational options of the season.

The Guadalajara Zoo's Herpetarium invites the public to discover the "Naja, the Cobras of the World" exhibition, a journey through some of the most enigmatic snakes in nature. During the tour, the public can appreciate various species from the seabed and have a unique visual experience, in addition to taking photos and selfies with the mermaids.

For those looking for activities for the little ones, the Guadalajara Zoo presents the "Animal World Courses," which will be held from April 1st to 5th within the park's facilities. Children between 4 and 15 years old can enjoy all the zoo's attractions, as well as special tours, rallies, ecological games, interaction with some species, and learning about the animal world.

The activities run from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During this temporary exhibition, visitors will be able to get up close to these fascinating creatures, considered among the most venomous in the world, which mainly inhabit forests, savannas, and rocky areas of Africa and Asia. Cobras can reach up to 2.5 meters in length. Additionally, the program includes the presence of paramedics and security personnel throughout the week.

Vacation Season Regarding the schedules, during the Holy Week and Easter vacation season, the Guadalajara Zoo will operate from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., from Monday, March 30th, to Sunday, April 12th. On Holy Days (Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th, and Sunday 5th of April), the hours are extended from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Visitors will be able to observe their behavior, learn about their habitat, and discover the secrets of their venom.

On the other hand, the Aquarium offers a fantasy-filled show with the presentation of MERMAIDS, available daily in the external tanks, as well as the immersive experience in the central tank. This proposal invites you to dive into a world of adventure where the magic of the mermaids combines with the beauty of the marine environment.

They are solitary and nocturnal snakes that feed on small mammals, birds, and other reptiles. Furthermore, they are widely recognized for their defensive posture, in which they raise their head and extend their neck. The exhibition will feature 10 different species, including the Cape cobra, the Egyptian cobra, and the king cobra. Groups are organized according to the age of the participants, and each one has the accompaniment of a monitor and a coordinator.
