Demand Justice after Mass Runover in Guadalajara

After the mass hit-and-run that occurred outside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Guadalajara, where at least 16 people were injured and two sisters aged 14 and 18 remain hospitalized, the organizers of the pro-life demonstration have demanded justice. Jaime Cedillo, coordinator of the National Front for the Family in Jalisco, highlighted the injustice of the situation, mentioning that the moment of the tragic incident coincided with the closure of the protest against abortion and preparation for a religious celebration in the esplanade.

"All we ask of the police is to provide us with the exact version of events and to present the attacker so he can pay for the harm caused. What happened is not fair; these families who were here to celebrate did not deserve to go through something like this," commented the activist. Cedillo also denounced a failure in protecting the demonstrators, indicating that vehicle access to the pedestrian area could have been prevented if the security measures had functioned properly.

The two injured sisters, 14-year-old Bárbara and 18-year-old Tania Rojas, remain under observation in a hospital located on Patria Avenue and the Americas Avenue, in the Lomas del Country neighborhood in Guadalajara. Cedillo expressed his dismay at what happened and demanded that the facts be clarified and justice be served.
