The recent controversy surrounding Liga MX, particularly the Guadalajara team due to Alan Mozo's publication promoting a betting group, seems to have reached its resolution. Despite speculation about a possible exemplary sanction that could have sidelined the player for up to three years, it has been reported that Liga MX and the Disciplinary Commission do not contemplate imposing any sanctions on the footballer.
Amid the controversy that arose on social media, authorities consider that no serious offense has been committed that requires disciplinary action. According to sources from Claro Sports, in response to inquiries made about the case, both Liga MX and the Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Football Federation have decided not to intervene and to keep the player away from issues.
It is noteworthy that a recent match-fixing scandal was revealed in the Expansion League, with sanctions of up to 57 years of suspension for seven footballers, imposed by the same Disciplinary Commission that in this case has opted not to apply punitive measures against Alan Mozo.
On the other hand, it is relevant to mention the case of Valeria Andrade, a referee from Liga MX who was dismissed in 2022 after promoting a betting group on Telegram through her Instagram stories, an action similar to that of Alan Mozo. However, the decision to dismiss her was made by the Refereeing Commission, which shows a different outcome for similar situations.
Thus, it is expected that Alan Mozo can participate in the next Chivas match on Saturday, February 22, against Pachuca in Matchday 8 of Liga MX, which will take place at the Akron Stadium.
