Aggression Against Journalist After Chivas Victory

Chivas achieved a narrow victory over América in the first leg of the round of sixteen of the Concacaf Champions Cup. However, the most notable event of the evening was that, at the end of the match, journalist David Faitelson was attacked.

Upon leaving the Akron Stadium, Faitelson was intercepted by a group of fans who asked him for photographs, to which he kindly agreed. In the midst of this friendly exchange, someone took the opportunity to throw a cup filled with liquid at him, which left the TUDN analyst surprised. Despite the assault, Faitelson chose not to confront the aggressor and instead expressed his disappointment before leaving.

In a segment on TUDN, David Faitelson commented on the incident, lamenting the aggression and emphasizing that people should not respond aggressively to differing opinions, even if they are controversial. So far, Club Guadalajara has not issued any statements regarding the matter.

After the assault, Faitelson had to leave Akron Stadium escorted by security due to insults hurled at him by some fans, such as "sellout" or "f*** your mother". Despite this, the journalist acknowledged that most of the fans were aware and polite during the incident.

At this time, the aggressor has not been identified, as the cameras did not capture the moment of the attack. David Faitelson thanked a supporter who lent him a white towel to clean himself after the attack, highlighting that there will always be someone who can act inappropriately amidst fan interactions.
