Checo Pérez Faces Challenges at the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix

In the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix, Sergio Checo Pérez faces difficulties, starting from eighteenth place in the Sunday race due to a poor qualifying. Upon returning to the Red Bull pit lane, the Mexican driver showed his frustration with an evident look of anger, expressing strong discontent over the radio.

After the qualifying, Checo Pérez, originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, explained that his low performance at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is due to ongoing issues he has faced with his RB20 throughout the season. The driver mentioned difficulties in braking the car, especially in slow corners, which prevents him from attacking as he would like.

Checo Pérez stated to the media: "I don’t know if in the end it’s such a difference, since we can’t see it, I don’t know if there’s something more, but the gap is big enough that there must be something more, we have to find it as a team." He also compared the current problems with those experienced in the previous race.

Despite acknowledging the complexity of the situation, the Mexican driver asserted that he will do everything possible to deliver a standout performance in the Sunday race to delight the audience. Checo Pérez admitted that starting from almost the last position, the race will be a challenge from start to finish, given the difficult scenario he faces.
