During a live broadcast on November 12 on the social media accounts of a banking company, 'Checo' Pérez mentioned that Colapinto has a strong Argentine accent and often uses colloquial language in his conversations. Although he acknowledged that the Argentine uses a lot of profanity, he appreciates being able to have conversations in Spanish with another driver in F1.

In the interview, 'Checo' Pérez highlighted the importance of communicating in his native language with drivers like Carlos Sainz Jr., Fernando Alonso, and now Franco Colapinto. He expressed his hope that Colapinto continues competing in Formula 1, pointing out the support that Latin American drivers receive in the category.

Additionally, 'Checo' Pérez praised another compatriot, Pato O'Ward, an IndyCar driver, and expressed his hope that he could have an opportunity in Formula 1 in the future. He recalled O'Ward's participation in the Mexico Grand Prix during free practices with McLaren.

Regarding the British press, 'Checo' Pérez responded to comments against him, labeling them as "unprofessional." He stated that, despite certain criticisms, he tries to take situations with humor and recognizes the work of professional journalists, but he also pointed out excessive unprofessionalism in some European media.

In the midst of the conversation, 'Checo' Pérez recalled an anecdote with Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez, who confronted him with profanity during a high-speed car ride. Despite the tension of the moment, Pérez shared the incident with humor.
