New details have emerged in the case of vitaminized serums in Hermosillo, Sonora, where at least six people have died after receiving these treatments. According to information reported by journalists Michelle Rivera and Alfredo Álvarez, the investigation points to possible serious irregularities in the handling of medical supplies and in the professional accreditation of the responsible individual, identified as Maximiano “N”. According to a source from the Federal Ministry of Health cited by Michelle Rivera, the venoclisis equipment used in the office would have been contaminated, which could explain the rapid deterioration in the patients' health. He is currently considered a person of interest for the Sonora State Attorney General's Office. Meanwhile, journalist Alfredo Álvarez reported that patients even waited from the early morning to receive the vitaminized serum treatments. He also reported that the accused boasts about 30 titles in various medical areas, including aesthetic medicine, allegedly issued by online institutions based in Cuba. The case gained national prominence after it was confirmed that at least six people had died after receiving these serums, promoted as an alternative to improve health and strengthen the immune system. Reports documented that the victims presented serious symptoms such as vomiting, fainting, diarrhea, and multiple organ failure. Investigations continue to determine the composition of the serums and to capture the responsible physician.
