Patient Survives Hermosillo Clinic Outbreak, Shares Critical Experience

A patient who attended the vitamin drip clinic in Hermosillo, Sonora, linked to six deaths, shares his experience.

The most critical moment occurred during the third application. "I fell into a deep sleep... the drip ran out and I had blood reflux... another patient had to wake me up," he recounted.

A man who received three vitamin drips at a clinic in Hermosillo, Sonora, shared his testimony after surviving an outbreak that has left at least six people dead and 11 affected.

His account, shared on social media, exposes irregular practices, raises doubts about the medical training of the staff, and points to decisions driven by family pressure amid a health crisis still under investigation.

"My intuition was telling me: run"

Julio Gaxiola recounted that, despite not believing in these treatments, he agreed to the drips due to insistence from family members. "I never believed in these drips... it's enough to inform yourself to know that they are unnecessary and even dangerous," he wrote. But I didn't want to be the stubborn ungrateful one," he noted.

The man explained that he was going through a vulnerable period of physical and emotional health. In his testimony, he described conditions that generated distrust: "My intuition was telling me: run". After that episode, he decided not to return.

Investigation ongoing: possible bacteria According to the Secretary of Health, David Kershenobich, a possible bacterial contamination would be related to the outbreak. He reported that 11 people are affected, six of whom have died, while others remain under observation. "There is some bacterial contaminant... they had very high white blood cell counts and intravascular coagulation," the official explained during the morning press conference.
