Police Aggression Against Minors in Jiutepec

Two minors traveling on a motorcycle were detained and beaten by agents of the police in Morelos, assigned to the municipality of Jiutepec. The incident, which was recorded and shared on social media, took place on the night of February 1 in the Otilio MontaƱo neighborhood in Jiutepec.

In the video, which lasts three minutes and four seconds, a motorcycle carrying two teenagers is seen. A patrol car with the number 81269 from the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of the State of Morelos stops the young people, pointing firearms at them and verbally and physically assaulting them.

The teenagers are pushed, beaten, and recorded amid the aggression. One of the young men is detained and taken away while the other remains on the ground pleading for mercy and stating he is a minor. Despite this, the police continue with the violence.

The young people were taken to the command center, where their parents arrived and they were released as no illegal items were found in their possession. Municipal and state authorities have not yet made any comments on the matter, but personnel from various agencies confirmed unofficially the participation of active agents in the incident.
