In the municipality of León, 5 new mobile health units have been launched with an investment of 9.8 million pesos. These units complement existing services and include medical and dental offices, as well as vehicles for social work, aimed at expanding the coverage of programs like 'Doctor at Your Home' and reinforcing the prevention of diseases such as diabetes and breast cancer.
Mayor Ale Gutiérrez highlighted that this initiative is part of the 'I Love León and Its People' axis with the purpose of improving the quality of life for residents and preventing diseases. It was emphasized that these units represent a commitment to bring health directly to the homes of the population.
Among the 5 new units is a pink unit dedicated to breast cancer detection, two mobile clinics for 'Doctor at Your Home', a passenger van, and a pickup truck. These vehicles have significantly contributed to the timely detection and treatment of various chronic diseases thanks to the 'Doctor at Your Home' program.
Among the main benefits of these new units is greater coverage of health services, as they will reach the 7 delegations of León, including remote and vulnerable areas. The units will be used for the prevention of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and breast cancer, through early detection and patient follow-up, offering medical, dental, social work, and psychological services.
In the last three years, the municipality has carried out more than 375 thousand health-related actions, benefiting over 21 thousand people. The focus on prevention and access to health services reflects the commitment of local authorities to the well-being of the community.
