Two men were sentenced to prison for detaining and assaulting a person in León, Guanajuato. The Prosecutor's Office presented strong evidence, resulting in sentences of 4 years and more.

Two men were sentenced to prison for the crime of aggravated deprivation of liberty, after their participation in the detention and assault of a person in the San Marcos neighborhood in León was proven.

According to the Attorney General's Office of the State of Guanajuato (FGEG), the victim was subdued, beaten, and threatened inside a property, where their captors kept them detained under intimidation. The case took a turn when a passerby managed to enter the place and free the person, allowing the Public Security elements of León to intervene to arrest the culprits.

"The Attorney General's Office gathered solid evidence, which was presented to the judge in an oral trial, successfully demonstrating the guilt of the accused," stated the FGEG.

After the verdict, the following sentences were handed down: Juan Manuel “N” was sentenced to 4 years and 1 month in prison, while Martín “N” received 4 years and 6 months in prison. With this resolution, the FGEG emphasized the investigative work and expertise that allowed the facts to be clarified and brought the culprits to justice.
