Mayor Alejandra Gutiérrez announced that León is positioning itself as one of the most important tourist destinations, with a 7% increase in economic spillover during the holidays. A high number of free accesses to parks and sports events were recorded.

During the holiday period, Mayor Alejandra Gutiérrez revealed the results that have positioned León as one of the main tourist destinations in Mexico. The city offered massive activities and free access to various facilities, attracting a large number of visitors.

Among the highlighted data, 215,832 free accesses to parks and recreational centers were recorded through the "Pásale Gratis" program, allowing families to enjoy places like the Metropolitan Park, the Zoo, and the Explora Park at no cost. The economic impact reached 510 million pesos, a 7% increase compared to the previous year, and hotel occupancy averaged 45%.

In the sports sphere, more than 19,000 athletes participated in different competitions, such as the BJX Half Marathon and the Global Cup Mexico, consolidating León as the Sports Capital. All activities were supported by the Secretariat of Security, Prevention, and Citizen Protection.

More than 531,000 people enjoyed cultural, recreational, and sports activities during Holy Week and Easter Week, as part of the Vive León program. Breathalyzer operations were implemented to prevent traffic accidents, ensuring a zero incidents record at mass events.

In relevant figures, 81,000 people participated in activities at the Historic Center, a 496% increase compared to the previous year. The Zoo received 113,000 visitors, a 35.6% increase, and 87,000 people attended the Metropolitan Park, of which 81% entered with free passes. The "Ángel Camacho" Aquatic Center had 8,000 attendees, while 46,000 visitors enjoyed the Explora Park. Finally, 76.9 tons of waste were collected by SIAP at mass gathering points.
