More than 22 thousand home medical consultations, 7 thousand 955 nutritional consultations, and 4 thousand 617 psychological consultations have been carried out. In addition, the 12 fixed clinics distributed in the 7 municipal delegations have provided more than 97 thousand medical consultations. This program not only focuses on medical care but also on disease prevention.
Ensuring that Guanajuato has the best health system, Governor Libia García led the commemoration of Doctor's Day in the state. More than 22 thousand health professionals provide services to over 3.7 million people in Guanajuato. The governor stated: "For us, from the State Government, it is very important to be here on this Doctor's Day, a celebration and a moment to recognize the invaluable effort of you, who day by day, work for the health of Guanajuato in the best Health System in the Country."
Currently, in Guanajuato, there are 1,770 specialist doctors and 2,568 general doctors. Dr. Consuelo Gutiérrez García was also remembered, who in 1951 was the first woman to graduate in medicine in León, at the University of Guanajuato. Regarding prevention, the governor asked to join campaigns against diseases such as breast cancer and to take action to combat obesity.
The "Doctor at Your Home" program has provided more than 524 thousand health actions in the last three years, including medical, nutritional, and psychological consultations. Through health fairs held in different parts of the city, health services have been offered to thousands of residents of León.
