Arrests Made in León Amid CJNG Drug Trafficking

In the city of Guanajuato, a judge linked Arturo 'N', 46 years old, to a legal process as the main supplier of weapons for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). This individual was known for his involvement in acts of violence in the municipalities of León, San Francisco del Rincón, and Purísima del Rincón. Also, during the same judicial process, Gisela Viridiana 'N', 37 years old, was linked to a legal process for alleged possession for the purpose of trafficking illegal substances and possession of firearms.

The investigation details that Arturo 'N', or 'Don Arturo', would be the person responsible for the logistics of trafficking and supplying weapons, drugs, and executing homicides in several municipalities of Guanajuato. He is attributed not only with arms trafficking, but also with participation in planning the crimes. Meanwhile, Gisela Viridiana 'N', alias 'La Chepina', is pointed out as one of the main distributors of drugs at retail in León, being directly involved with violence generators in the region.

In an operation carried out last week in the city of León, Arturo 'N' was captured, during which short firearms and various illicit substances were seized. Three safe houses were dismantled, seizing a total of fifteen firearms, as well as drugs and other equipment related to illegal activities. During this action, a 17-year-old minor was also placed at the disposal of the authorities to determine his legal situation.

The joint operation for the detention of Arturo 'N' was carried out with the collaboration of elements from the State Public Security Forces, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection and the Attorney General's Office. The searches were conducted in three properties in the city of León, identified as possible safe houses for criminal groups, after obtaining the corresponding authorization from a specialized District Judge.
