In the Villas de San Juan neighborhood, in León, Guanajuato, a 26-year-old man, identified as Juan Manuel, was arrested by municipal police on suspicion of possession and distribution of drugs. Following a routine inspection, 47 crystal packets, 20 Ziploc bags with rock cocaine, 20 bags with marijuana, 3 packets with cocaine, and 6,620 pesos in cash, allegedly from the sale of illicit substances, were seized.
The detainee was made available to the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine his legal situation. Security authorities continue with surveillance operations in the municipality to prevent crimes related to drug distribution and strengthen tranquility in the area.
The arrest took place on Constelaciones Avenue when officers were conducting a preventive patrol and observed two men arguing, one of whom attempted to flee upon noticing law enforcement, carrying a black bag. After a brief chase, the subject was intercepted on Circuito Lepus street.
